Today I read a very nice interview. I believe anybody would agree that this was a very humble and honorable thing to do. And who was this an interview of? None other than George W. Bush.
George Bush will likely go down in the history books as one of the most debated presidents of our time. And with good reason. But today I read an interview on CNN that just gave me warm fuzzies all over and made me remember that this man, while probably not the best President, is a good man.
In this interview he came right out and said that he had made mistakes in his presidency and that he had certainly said things that he should not have. He referred to the comments of wanting Bin Laden "Dead or Alive" and telling the Iraqi insurgents to "bring it on" and how these may have sent the wrong message to the people. He also goes on to say that he regrets speaking in front of the ""Mission Accomplished" banner saying that it also sent the wrong message.
So after this heated administration, what does President Bush have in store? Well according to him he is going to head back to Texas and maybe write a book. Which, if that happens, I will definitely be sure to buy.
So President Bush, enjoy your retirement and even though you may not have been our favorite; I still thank and commend you for your service to our country.
